Amit Shah Sets Example as Policy Maker by Working Continuously for 23 Years Without Taking Leave

Union Home Minister Amit Shah commended Prime Minister Narendra Modi as a stellar policy maker, hailing him as the epitome of effective leadership. Shah underscored the pivotal role of the upcoming elections in shaping India’s path for the next 25 years and lauded PM Modi’s accomplishments, notably citing demonetization.

During the India Global Forum Annual Investment Summit in Mumbai, Shah extolled PM Modi’s unwavering commitment, noting, “PM Modi has not taken a holiday in 23 years. We sought a visionary PM, but we have received a leader capable of transforming the era.”

Reflecting on the past decade under Prime Minister Modi’s stewardship, Amit Shah highlighted the nation’s substantial progress from economic turmoil to self-sufficiency and dynamism.

Expressing optimism for the future, Shah articulated, “I am confident that this trajectory will persist over the next decade. With a parliamentary resolution aiming for India to rank among the top three economies by 2047 and achieve developed status, we embark on the upcoming election with a decade of achievements and a 25-year roadmap.”

Emphasizing the significant strides made under PM Modi’s tenure, Shah emphasized the pivotal role played by the Prime Minister in reshaping India’s economic landscape.

“In 2014, the economy was in disarray, plagued by scams totaling Rs 12 lakh crore, rampant capitalism, unmanageable fiscal deficits, and dismal ease of doing business rankings. The banking sector was ailing, national security was compromised, terrorism loomed large, and women’s safety was a pressing concern. It was under these circumstances that the BJP, under the leadership of Narendra Modi, contested the elections,” Shah remarked.

Crediting Prime Minister Modi for steering the nation through these challenges, Shah heralded a new era characterized by economic reforms and efficient governance.

“The transformation began with Narendra Modi assuming power with a resounding mandate, kickstarting India’s growth trajectory. Reforms in banking, enhanced forex management, a shift towards performance-driven politics, and landmark decisions such as demonetization, GST implementation, tackling NPAs, bolstering digital infrastructure, and sending a strong message through surgical and airstrikes have defined our path. Initiatives like abolishing triple talaq and revoking Article 370 underscore our commitment to decisive governance,” Shah elaborated.

Highlighting the contrast with the previous regime, Shah asserted, “In five decades, the Congress failed to match the impact of our five years in power. We have undertaken 50 transformative decisions that have reshaped the nation’s course, a testament to the resolute leadership of PM Modi and the BJP.”
