AS we’re finally approaching summer, it’s time to give our wardrobes a refresh – and this £29.50 Marks & Spencer dress is just the right pick.
No summer holiday luggage is complete without a frock that makes you feel your best and most confident, and if you have a sunny getaway coming up, then best plan a trip to Marks & Spencer.
The popular retailer has recently introduced a number of gorgeous items for your holiday – whether that’s a ”classy” dress that can be sported with sandals or trainers or ”the most comfortable jeans ever”.
So, it comes as no surprise that one of their latest additions – Linen Rich Knee Length Shift Dress – has also proved to be a major hit amongst style lovers.
The linen frock, which has already been dubbed a ”must-have for your summer holiday” by AoI, is super versatile – and it’s easy to see why it’s already racking up five-star reviews.
Simple, lightweight and comfy, the £29.50 frock comes in three different colours – classic black, rich blue, as well a more vibrant olive green.
The knee-length style is framed with a traditional round neckline and no sleeves and the frock boasts a timeless shift silhouette.
What’s more, the dress – which is available in their Short, Regular and Long sections, features simple buttons at the back.

An affordable summer staple that will never go out of style, the M&S frock is gleaming in hundreds of rave reviews, with some even buying it in every single colour.
One fashion lover, who described the design as ”chic”, said the frock was also incredibly flattering.
” This is very good shift dress, I sized down to a 14 it skims over my large stomach and large waist.
”I purchased two last year, managed to get the bright blue today.”
Another chimed in, rating the bargain find with an impressive five stars.
”This is a super buy, love the colour and can put so many different colour accessories with it, great for everyday lunches, work or going out somewhere for an evening.”
”Lovely little dress for summer, with a cardigan over your shoulders, perfect,” someone else added.
A fourth demanded the store to launch even more shades of the frock.
Why Everyone Is Loving M&S
Deputy Fashion Editor Abby McHale revealed to Fabulous why M&S is the shop of the moment. She explained:
“M&S has really pulled it out of the bag this season, there is so much good product to be excited about.
“A brand once known for its ‘frumpy fashion’ that notion is long gone with it now being one of the leading high street stores for womenswear.
“Its handbag range in particular is super strong with them selling 170% vs plan, with lots more designer dupes for just a fraction of the price.
“The brand is now also the #1 for style perceptions, compared to the #3 spot it had last year, this comes from a really strong design team focused on modernising the brand, not only taking into consideration how the pieces look, but how easy they are to wear also.
“Price is also a big factor with you being able to get many good quality pieces all for under £30.
“After having a sneak peak of the upcoming collection there are so many more amazing pieces that are dropping over the next few months to keep your eyes on.
“Think leopard print dresses, colourful co-ords, embroidered boho jackets, plus lots of swimwear and amazing accessories, as well as great wardrobe staples that will last year on year.”
”Good length, due to options (regular to long). Nice fit and feels nice when on. I wish M&S had more colours in this range.”
However, although the reviews were positive for the most part, not everyone was raving about the wardrobe staple – and some had even rated the dress with a shocking one star.
”Very disappointed. Arrived very creased up and colour not as expected. Unfortunately had to return,” one customer revealed.
”Ordered my usual size but this dress was huge. Would therefore recommend sizing down,” wrote another who also wasn’t a fan of the colour.
